UCLA will be hosting a one day conference that will focus on the importance of behavioral health research and its significance in bringing about policy changes & advancing mental health equity.

What will be presented? (From UCLA’s website) This one-day conference aims to demonstrate the relevance of research to inform practice and policy in advancing mental health equity. They will cover the latest research and promising new directions, along with examples of real world applications and innovations made possible under the Mental Health Services Act.
Topics covered will include - framing mental health disparities, moving from research to practice and policy, innovations in technology, the criminalization of mental health in minority communities AND a facilitated discussion on how we can best move forward in addressing disparities.
