Amar Dass works with PIs on various clinical studies at USC and at CHLA. Her responsibilities and roles ranges from interviewing and recruiting patients, collecting and entering data to electronic database, scheduling meetings with multidisciplinary team members of studies, preparing for audit visits and updating patient charts and regulatory binders.

Ms. Dass received her B.S in Biological Sciences at the University of California Irvine in 2011. During her time in undergrad, she interned with a clinical research clinic at the Psychiatric Department at UCI Medical Center in Orange, CA. She found her passion with research due to the positive experiences she had at UCI. During her second year with the psychiatric clinical research team, she independently designed a research project with 80 subjects and presented at UCI's annual research symposium. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Amar worked in various clinical research settings at UCI, including departments of Labor and Delivery, Pediatrics, Oncology, UCI Center on Stress and Health and UCI Women and Children's Well-Being Project. Ms. Dass decided to enroll in the Global Medicine graduate program at the University of Southern California to expand her knowledge of the world's diseases and humanitarian problems.
