Christianne Joy Lane, MS, PhD

Co-Director, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design

SC CTSI Role

As co-director of the BERD, Dr. Lane helps direct the day-to-day activities of the BERD unit. She supervises staff, and works directly with investigators. She is very well versed in the practical and creative challenges that accompany a range of research, particularly conducting clinical research.

Professional Background

Dr. Lane has worked with researchers across many fields, consulting on study design, database development and management, and performing statistical analyses for many clinical studies. Her background in quantitative psychology, as well as these experiences with clinical trials have given her expertise in the areas of study design and coordination, data management, and statistical methods that range from basic to complex parametric and non-parametric statistics including: ANOVA, linear and logistic regression, survival analyses, factor analyses (exploratory and confirmatory), path analysis and structural equation modeling, factor analysis, cluster analysis, and robust statistics. She has had considerable experience with longitudinal modeling methods (SEM, mixed effects, repeated measures ANOVA). 

Interests

Pottery, finding the perfect shade of lipgloss at Sephora, and traveling around the world tasting great food.
