Sohini Deva is a recent graduate of Tulane University as a POSSE Scholar, where she majored in public health and received her MPH in international health and development. She is passionate about community health, research that is linked to action, and working with minority populations. As an undergraduate, she interned domestically at AIDS Project Los Angeles, connecting patients living with HIV to care, and internationally at a women’s health clinic in Guatemala. As a graduate student, Sohini was part of a research team evaluating research gaps in USAID’s 2016 Zika Response in Latin America. Sohini aspires to pursue a career in public health, serving her community by researching health disparities and drafting solutions towards achieving health equity.
Outside of her work, Sohini enjoys surfing, reading and working out.
