SC CTSI Role

Maria works as a research nurse in the Clinical Trials Unit. In this role, she provides study-related services such as for clinical trials, research support, monitoring patients, and evaluation.

Professional Background

Maria earned her Nursing degree in the Philippines, equivalent to an Associate Degree in Nursing in the U.S. She then passed the local board, and proceeded to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing. She moved to the U.S. and worked in Surgery and Oncology. After earning a Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) credential, she now works in the Clinical Trials Unit seeing research patients.

Interests

Maria enjoys traveling, watching movies, attending conferences, and going out with friends.
