This lecture discusses advantages and disadvantages to different types of research collaborations and considers potential opportunities to advance a young investigators career through academic involvement.

  • To list the potential types of academic and research opportunities available to emerging investigators at USC.
  • To recognize which types of collaborations may be beneficial to a young investigator’s research mission.
  • To determine which potential academic opportunities can help advance a research career.
