OVERVIEW: The COVID-19 Data Mart is a specialized subset of clinical data from over 55,000 COVID-19 tested patients at Keck Medicine of USC. The Clinical Research Informatics (CRI) group of the SC CTSI led the establishment of federated research informatics capabilities across three institutions, with three separate covered entities: the University of Southern California (USC) and its Keck Medical Center (KMC), Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), and the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services (DHS).

GOALS: To increase the availability of COVID-19 relevant data points, leading to expedited research and outcomes.

CURRENT STATUS: The COVID-19 data mart will also be linked to biospecimens from patients, enabling deeper analyses of the long-term effects of COVID-19.
