SC CTSI Role

Allison is responsible for all aspect of patient and research-related care, acting as a liaison between patients’ personal physician and research studies, supporting all phases of research studies, and being part of CTU operations and management. Some of her duties include providing general and preventative care, performing physical exams and clinical assessments per protocol, prescribing medications, monitoring and managing patient’s response to treatment per protocol, managing data collection, coordinating patient recruitment, and providing input for initial protocol design to completion of study.

Professional Background

Allison brings over 10 years regulatory experience in clinical trials in urology, cardiology, and gastroenterology for medical device product approvals. She became a family nurse practitioner in 2019 with the intent to bridge research and clinical interests. Passionate about health and wellness, she has been in primary and urgent care guiding patients on their path to wellness. She believes translational investigational research provides the platform for the growth of clinical acumen enabling optimum delivery of patient care.

Interests

Allison enjoys playing board games with family, friends and neighbors. Some of her favorite games are Scrabble, Catan, Rummikub, and Hearts. She also enjoys swimming and running.
