SC CTSI Role

Lisa Thai will help initiate, implement, pilot and assess new program efforts focused on establishing an advisory committee, providing mentorship opportunities, grants management, peer reviewed allocation of pilot research funds, faculty research and career development programs, the building of interdisciplinary research teams, evaluation and tracking of research programs and pilot funding outcomes, marketing, fundraising, and developing a sustainability plan. In close collaboration with program staff, USC researchers, and other stakeholders, Lisa will facilitate ongoing operations of the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute’s (SC CTSI) HDS core group, as well as help launch the related USC Center for HDS.

Professional Background

Lisa Thai serves as the program administrator for the healthcare delivery science core of the SC CTSI. Currently, she also serves as an assistant hospital administrator at the LAC+USC Medical Center for two years. She oversees critical care areas, neurology and burn services. Prior to that, she worked at OneLegacy as a donation development coordinator. At OneLegacy, she managed several hospitals accounts, assisting them in developing their donation program and promoting donation awareness. Lisa holds a bachelor of science in biology from the University of California, Riverside and a master of science in public health from the University of Southern California.

Interests

Lisa is a huge foodie. She enjoys travelling all year round to attend food festivals and try various cuisines.
