SC CTSI Role

Melody facilitates the clinical data request process for USC and LA County DHS researchers. Her work includes delivering tailored research solutions, offering strategic advice, and optimizing study designs to ensure accurate and efficient data retrieval. She also provides expert REDCap technical and design support to 9,000+ users across USC and Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

Professional Background

Melody earned her BSc in Psychology from York University and completed her MPH at Lakehead University in Ontario, Canada, in 2016. She began her career at USC as a Stroke Program Specialist in the Department of Neurology, where she led program development and outreach initiatives, improved stroke care protocols at Keck Hospital, and built partnerships to promote health literacy and stroke education in Los Angeles communities.

Interests

She enjoys singing, yoga, beach days with her family and attending concerts.
