Professional Background

Mr. Angyan has over fifteen years of work experience in application and database development, focusing on applications relevant to health research. He obtained his Master's degree in Computer Networks at the University of Southern California. He honed his skills in agile development during his tenure at the General Clinical Research Center (GCRC). He was the primary programmer responsible for development of the database used in one of the largest family-based research studies at that time.

After joining the SC CTSI, his initial focus was on developing Web-based applications that focused on improving administration processes at the SC CTSI. Examples include eGATE, a Web portal for the application and review of pilot awards. His more recent focus has been on developing Trial Promoter, an open source platform for efficiently conducting health communication research.
