CANCELLED - Career Development Seminar Series: Cutting Through the Noise: Communicating Scientific and Medical Information to the General Public and Media

Event Details

This seminar describes challenges to communicating scientific and medical information to the general public and media, the distinction between individual and population perspectives in communicating health information, general strategies for more effective communications, and special considerations for medical and other health researchers.

 Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this seminar you should be able to 

  • Describe three challenges to communicating scientific and medical information to the general public and media
  • Describe three strategies for overcoming these challenges Provide three examples of message framing that incorporates a population health perspective
