In this session, we explore the importance of ensuring biomedical study samples and data that are inclusive of a wide range of participants. We also examine the challenges associated with recruiting diverse study participants. Finally, we explore the importance of ensuring cultural competence when interacting with participants from historically marginalized groups (e.g., race/ethnicity, religion, gender, identity, sexual orientation, and ableism).
