Webinar: MedEdPORTAL, a Peer-Reviewed Journal and Online Resource for Teaching and Learning Resources
Online Webinar
This webinar will introduce a MEDLINE-indexed, open-access journal that allows researchers to leverage existing digital educational materials from other institutions and to get scholarly credit for those materials they share.
Event Details
Overview: Many researchers are involved in teaching activities that can also be counted for scholarly credit. MedEdPORTAL is a peer-reviewed journal of teaching and learning resources in the health professions published by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), in partnership with the American Dental Education Association. Publications are stand-alone, complete teaching or learning modules that have been implemented and evaluated with medical or dental trainees or practitioners. Submissions include a manuscript describing the teaching activity and all materials needed to implement the activity. All aspects are reviewed by peer reviewers using a standardized review instrument grounded in the tenets of scholarship. As such, it also represents a repository of educational materials that can be used to address learning needs in academics.
Speaker: Grace Huang, MD, an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS), a hospitalist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and Editor-in-Chief at MedEdPORTAL
