Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a disabling disease in which the immune system attacks the nervous system. The cause of MS is unknown and no treatments as yet exist that can cure the disease or least, stop disability progression. This study will use an animal model of MS to determine if angiotensin (1-7) is a sutable candidate therapy to alleviate the symptoms and progression of MS; findings from this study will also give an indication of the suitability of this treatment in other nervous system disorders.
