The purpose of this pilot study is to study to gain preliminary data about the feasibility of developing an inexpensive non-invasive methylation test to reveal the effects of trauma in young children and how the methylation pattern changes with successful psychological intervention. This will be done in conjunction with Children’s Institute Inc. by sampling children (ages 4-7) in their Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program. Psychometric testing and biological samples will be collected at entry into therapy, at midpoint, and 1 month follow up.
