Funding under this project is primarily intended for use of the Molecular Imaging Center to analyze cardiac function in adult mice. This project is intended to investigate the extent of heart injury and regeneration in different strains of mice, under the hypothesis that regeneration is a variable trait that is subject to multiple genetic determinants.
