Preserving shoulder function is imperative for individuals with spinal cord injury who are dependent on their upper extremities for both mobility and daily activities. In this pilot project, our interdisciplinary research team will refine and further validate personalized wheelchair seating tools that aim to assist clinicians in identifying viable seating options that result in recommended arm configurations for manual wheelchair users with paraplegia during wheelchair propulsion.
