We will use in situ tissue engineering strategy to apply a bioactive scaffold into the ear defect site to encourage host cell to regenerate ear cartilage and fibrous tissue. The new scaffold needs to be durable, have the ability to be placed under skin only, i.e. not require a fascial envelope for blood supply, allow good skin draping and be resilient to long term exposures.
