Who Should Register for RECR?
Per the NIH recommendations:
Reflection on responsible conduct of research should recur throughout a scientist’s career: at the undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, predoctoral, postdoctoral, and faculty levels… Instruction must be undertaken at least once during each career stage, and at a frequency of no less than once every four years
CHLA trainees who are involved in research (pre-docs, postdocs, clinical fellows), faculty at all levels, and research administrators who need to maintain RECR compliance for NIH funding or other future funding opportunities should register.
NSF requires responsible and ethical conduct of research (RECR) training for all undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty, and other senior personnel who conduct research supported by NSF funds.
