OVERVIEW: High-quality mentoring is a fundamental requirement for effective career development in team-oriented clinical and translational research. To address this requirement, SC CTSI has established a Mentor Resource Center (MRC) to promote a culture of mentoring through competencies, training, matching, evaluation and practical tools to enhance the mentor-mentee experience.

GOALS: To create a culture of mentoring excellence at the SC CTSI and sharing of the centralized model with other institutions.

CURRENT AND PLANNED ACTIVITIES: Mentor training resources have been established at the SC CTSI in partnership with the University of Wisconsin CIMER program.
