Associate Director, Operations at the Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO)

SC CTSI Role

Ani oversees the operations of the Oncology research portfolio of the CRSO. Working closely with our investigators, supervisors, and coordinators, she facilitates the conduct of clinical research across CHLA and ensures that research is conducted in accordance to regulatory guidelines.

Professional Background

Ani has over 15 years of experience in pre-clinical, clinical, and translational research, research operations, program development and management, and regulatory compliance in the academic setting.

Prior to transitioning to CHLA, she oversaw a pediatric research program focused on healthcare associated infections, antimicrobial and diagnostic stewardship, and COVID-19 in the healthcare worker population at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She started her biomedical research career at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA as a laboratory technician where she worked on overcoming problems related to allogenicity in transplantation and the amelioration of regimen-related toxicity, after which, she earned a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from The Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She studied History and Biology as an Undergraduate at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Interests

Ani's interests outside of work include hiking, art, writing, and anything related to food.
