Li Ding, MD, PhD, MPH

Dr. Ding is a statistician with the Biostatistics team at the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute. She has worked at USC since 2014 and collaborates with investigators from a wide range of clinical and research disciplines. Drawing on her training in medicine, public health, and biostatistics, Li provides guidance on study design, statistical methodology, data analysis, and the interpretation and presentation of research findings. Her experience includes clinical trials, observational studies, longitudinal and survival analyses, and support for IRB protocols, manuscripts, and NIH and other grant applications. Li also has extensive experience working with large national databases, clinical registries, and real-world data platforms, including HCUP, the National Cancer Database (NCDB), ACS NSQIP, UNOS, the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR), SEER-Medicare, TriNetX, and the Vascular Quality Initiative (VQI). Her research interests include clinical trial methodology, causal inference, mediation analysis, and the application of advanced statistical methods to clinical and translational research.
