Ramon Durazo-Arvizu, PhD, is Faculty Director of the Biostatistics and Data Analysis Core at The Saban Research Institute of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Professor of Research Pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He provides biostatistical leadership and expertise to strengthen research and training across CHLA and USC.

Professional Background
Before joining CHLA, Dr. Durazo-Arvizu directed the Division of Biostatistics at Loyola University Chicago and co-founded its master’s program in Clinical Research Methods and Epidemiology. He earned his PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Arizona. His research applies statistical methods to epidemiology and clinical research, including health disparities and vitamin D standardization.
