SC CTSI Role

In her role as a Research Nurse in the Clinical Trials Unit, Ms. Margaryan is involved in the day-to-day functions of multiple research projects. She interacts with patients and families in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for their visits, performs basic nursing procedures and monitors patients’ visits, as well as serves as a liaison between patients and the physicians to ensure quality care. In her additional role as a protocol coordinator, she is involved in the reviewing of clinical research protocols, including formatting of necessary documents.

Professional Background

Ms. Margaryan was born and raised in Armenia where she obtained an MD degree from the Yerevan State Medical University and worked as a Pediatric and Emergency Care Physician. Now living in America, she maintains ESFMG certification. She is also certified in ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy and participates in chemotherapy administration for oncology research studies. She uses her trilingual status – English, Armenian, and Russian – to communicate effectively with diverse patients at CTU.

Interests

She enjoys dancing, exploring new recipes, and watching TV shows with her daughter.
