Addressing Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities through Diversifying Clinical Research Participation: Strategies from the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute
McKibben Hall (MCH)
Hosted by Katrina Kubicek, Associate Director, Community Engagement, Keck School of Medicine of USC
Despite making up a substantial part of the U.S. population, racial and ethnic minorities constitute less than 18% of clinical trial participants. Low accrual rates for clinical trials among racial minorities may contribute to disparities in treatment outcomes. This workshop will discuss various approaches to engaging diverse communities in research.
Location: HSC McKibben 249
Open to: Faculty, Staff, and Students
