“Inside NIH Study Sections and Common Mistakes on NIH Applications: Advice from the Battleground” Seminar, Dec. 18

Attendees will learn from a panel of experienced researchers at Keck School of Medicine regarding how to avoid common mistakes on NIH applications and how study sections work with the NIH. This conference will enable you to become more effective in your NIH application submissions.

Have you experienced challenges in obtaining funding from the NIH? The Keck School of Medicine Research Deans and the SC Clinical and Translational Science Institute are excited to host a highly anticipated seminar entitled, “Inside NIH Study Sections and Common Mistakes on NIH Applications: Advice from the Battleground.” Attendees will learn from a panel of experienced researchers at Keck School of Medicine regarding how to avoid common mistakes on NIH applications and how study sections work with the NIH. This conference will enable you to become more effective in your NIH application submissions. Featured panelists include Art Toga, PhD; Jae Jung, PhD; Paul Thomas, PhD; Sarah Hamm-Alvarez, PhD; and Tom Buchanan, MD. Session will be moderated by April Armstrong, MD MPH. The event will be held on Tuesday, December 18, from noon to 2 p.m. in Mayer Auditorium, located on the USC Health Sciences Campus (1975 Zonal Avenue, Los Angeles CA 90089).
