Dr. Laura K. Shawver, Ph.D. has been the Chief Executive Officer, President & Director at Synthorx Inc. since November 27, 2017. Dr. Shawver has over 25 years of drug discovery and development experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. She will share her experience with us!

Dr. Laura K. Shawver, Ph.D. has been the Chief Executive Officer, President & Director at Synthorx Inc. since November 27, 2017. Dr. Shawver has over 25 years of drug discovery and development experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. She is an experienced biotech executive and has extensive operational, drug development and regulatory expertise. In addition, she has assisted a number of pharmaceutical companies with transition and integration activities following product licensing and acquisition transactions. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Virginia. Dr. Shawver received a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and a B.S. degree in Microbiology, both from the University of Iowa.
