Event Details

The Mentored Career Development in Clinical and Translational Science Award supports a three-year training program for junior faculty health professionals or PhD’s interested in a career in clinical and translational research. The overall goal is to train individuals committed to improving human health through the design, conduct, implementation, and dissemination of high-quality translational research. Trainees are expected to complete the three years of the program and obtain independent funding (e.g., K23, R01, Foundation Grant) to sustain their research career or become an integral member of a clinical translational research team. Criteria:  Must be US citizen, Non-citizen National, or PermanentMust have a professional degree such as MD, Pharm D, DOT, DSN, DNP, DPT, DDS, or PhDHave a primary appointment at a CTSI partner institution (i.e., USC or CHLA)Junior faculty or fellows anticipating promotion to faculty statusPursuing a career path in clinical and translational researchDevote 75% effort to the program (including research time) during the three years
