SC CTSI Horizons logo

The Horizons Program is designed to advance clinical and translational research (CTR) by piloting innovative approaches to bring together junior, mid-career, and senior CHLA-based faculty.

Leveraging SC CTSI resources, Horizons focuses on these key CTR areas:

  • Qualitative Research
USC and CHLA investigators can collaborate on qualitative projects. Smaller groups working on health equity initiatives may benefit from sustained collaboration with the Community Engagement team. In addition, qualitative researchers will have access to a longitudinal working group forum for ongoing collaboration and shared learning.
  • Clinical Trials
Horizons aims to optimize scientific collaborations by connecting USC faculty with pediatric collaborators and leveraging SC-CTSI expertise and resources to strengthen trial design and implementation.
  • CHLA Research Data
Created to provide a professional community for faculty researchers and data specialists interested in using CHLA research data — including research informatics leads, data analysts, and those in data governance roles
