Background

Danieli Salinas, M.D. has been an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the USC Keck School of Medicine practicing at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in the Pediatric Pulmonology Division for 4 years. Dr. Salinas is originally from Brazil and first came to California for her fellowship training in 2001. Since then, she has committed her clinical and research career to Cystic Fibrosis (CF). She is a recipient of the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute’s KL2 Mentored Research Career Development Award 2013. She plans to use this award to develop her skills as a clinical translational researcher investigating the prediction of clinical outcomes based on the CF genetic defect identified by the newborn screening program.
