Background

Dr. Isaac Asante is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Ophthalmology at Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He completed his completed a Bachelors in Pharmacy and and Masters in Business Administration at University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He completed his Masters in Health Professions Education at Maastricht University, in the Netherlands and continued his education with with a Masters in Regulatory Sciences and PhD in Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics at the University of Southern California. His KL2 project aims to unravel the molecular mechanism(s) associated with differential metabolism of DHA observed in APOE4 carriers compared to non-carriers its effect on the development of AD, and guiding future nutrition-based interventions.
