Background

Dr. Jessica Sheth Bhutada is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics within the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute of Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and obtained her medical degree from the University of Kansas. She completed her pediatrics residency at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. She then completed her fellowship in Pediatric Hematology Oncology as well as an advanced fellowship in Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Oncology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She underwent additional leadership training in health equity research as a Health Equity Scholar of the Center for Health Equity Education and Advocacy. She currently serves as the Medical Co-Director of the AYA Cancer and Blood Disease service at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. She is committed to addressing cancer disparities in AYAs with metastatic disease. Her KL2 research seeks to understand the impact of social determinants of health on development of metastatic early-onset gastric cancer.
