Background

Dr. Warus is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles within the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his adolescent medicine fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Warus’s clinical and research interests include gender-affirming care for transgender and gender non-conforming youth as well as improving HIV prevention services for adolescents and young adults, including Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP). He currently serves as the medical director of HIV Prevention services within the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at CHLA, working to improve PrEP service delivery for youth.
