Background

Dr. Jaffray is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatric at Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles. She undertook her pediatric residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, and she completed her pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at the combined Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell program in New York. In July 2013, Dr. Jaffray spent an additional two years undertaking an advanced fellowship in pediatric hemostasis and thrombosis at CHLA. Dr. Jaffray’s clinical and research interests are in the epidemiology and prevention of pediatric thrombosis. She is one of the national leaders for a hospital-acquired thrombosis prevention task force through an organization called Children’s Hospitals Solutions for Patient Safety, and the pediatric subcommittee leader for the Venous Thromboembolism Network US (VENUS), which is a collaborative group dedicated to investigator-initiated research in thrombosis.
