Background

Lilyana Amezcua, MD is an assistant professor of clinical neurology at the University of Southern California (USC), Keck School of Medicine. She received her MD degree from Jefferson Medical College. She completed a residency in neurology and was chief resident at USC. She was awarded a Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Fellowship by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and trained under the direction of USC's Dr. Leslie P. Weiner. Her research is focused on identifying potential genetic and epidemiological contributions to prognosis in MS and how that may contribute to healthcare disparities observed between Hispanics and other racial/ethnic groups with MS.
