Background

Dr. Chavannes received her medical degree from McGill University in Montreal. She then completed her residency in Pediatrics at Western University in London, Ontario. She continued her medical training in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Montreal. Following her interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), she completed an advanced fellowship and a Master’s of health sciences at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She has a particular interest in a non-invasive disease monitoring tool and pursued further training in point-of-care intestinal ultrasound. Dr. Chavannes joined the Gastroenterology, Hepatolgy, and Nutrition department at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in 2018. She is also part of various committees on a national level, such as the ImproveCareNow Network Research committee. Her research interest is to evaluate the impact of point of care ultrasound to monitor disease activity in patients with IBD.
