Background

Dr. Stefanie Thomas is a pediatric oncologist who specializes in adolescent and young adult oncology and solid tumors in children and adolescents. She received her B.S. from Youngstown State University and her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio. She completed her pediatric residency and pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic Children’s. Following her initial training, she completed a fourth year of fellowship training in adolescent and young adult oncology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and University of Southern California Norris Cancer Center. She stayed on to serve as Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Blood and Marrow Transplantation. Dr. Thomas’s research focus is in adolescent and young adult oncology and medical ethics, specifically in barriers and facilitators to clinical trial enrollment for adolescents and young adults with cancer.
