Background

Dr. Mason is Assistant Professor with a dual appointment within Neurological Surgery and Neurology at the Keck School of Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree at Queens University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He continued to receive his medical degree from Harvard University, completed his residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Massachusetts in neurology and fellowship in movement disorders from University of California, Los Angeles. His KL2 research is in the treatment of patients with Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) – specifically the development of clinical best practices, integration of new and emerging DBS technologies, and use of clinical, neurophysiological, and neuroimaging biomarkers to inform prognosis, target selection, and DBS programming.
