Why Attend? Nationally Renowned Keynote Presentations: Dr. Jordan, “the Father of Tamoxifen” (the current gold standard in breast cancer therapy), shares his experience connecting the laboratory to the clinic, saving the lives of an estimated one million women worldwide. Dr. Jordan will also chair a panel discussion, engaging panelists and attendees on translating their work and how to better enable translational research at USC and with our partners.

Dr. Michener, a national expert in community-based research and health policy whose work focuses on the prevention of chronic diseases, specializes in redesigning health care to improve health outcomes.  Dr. Michener will lead a discussion with panelists and attendees on “what role academic-community partnered research could/should play in shaping policies and informing the development and evaluation of new models of care”.
