SC CTSI to lead first “synergy paper” collaboration on local health partnerships in Los Angeles and Chicago

January 03, 2019

The Center for Leading Innovation and Collaboration announced a new collaboration that will help drive innovations in clinical care and population health. The SC CTSI directors and implementation science lead Amytis Towfighi, M.D., are part of the selected writing team. Building on their current collaboration with Los Angeles County Department of Health Services and the UCLA CTSI, they recently joined forces with a similar collaborative team in Chicago to apply for assistance to write a paper on a significant translational science process roadblock. The award will provide support for the writing team, which proposed to explore the different academic-public partnerships that exist in Los Angeles and Chicago, and possibly other cities, and share the model with other institutes in the national consortium.
