Registration is open for the CHLA/TSRI Mentor Training Program
We are excited to announce that registration for the Spring 2025 CHLA/The Saban Research Institute Mentor Training Program (MTP) is now open. Following the format of training from the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER), the Mentor Training Program will provide a three-part, virtual training via Microsoft Teams covering topics related to improving and strengthening research mentoring relationships.
The course will cover the following competencies:
Session 1: Introduction and Aligning Expectations (Dr. Tamara Simon), Tuesday, March 4, 2025, 11am-1pm
Session 2: Fostering Independence and Cultivating Ethical Behavior (Dr. Lorraine Kelley-Quon), Thursday, March 13, 2025, 11am-1pm
Session 3: Equity and Inclusion and Promoting Professional Development (Drs. Beth Smith and Hanna Song), Tuesday, March 25, 2025, 11am-1pm
This program is offered to individuals at all career stages who are serving in any type of research mentor role (whether formally or informally).
