SC CTSI KL2 Director named to ACTS Board of Directors
Elizabeth Burner, MD, PhD was elected as a Director-at-Large in 2026.
Congratulations to Elizabeth Burner, MD, PhD, MPH who was recently elected as a Director-at-Large for the Association for Clinical and Translational Science (ACTS), which is the premier professional organization supporting the needs of the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) program.
Burner is Director of the KL2 Program at the Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute (SC CTSI), where she has served in this role since 2024. Prior to this, she served as a faculty instructor with the SC CTSI Workforce Development core starting in July 2018.
As a Director-at-Large, she is a member of the Board of Directors, responsible for governing the organization, contributing their unique expertise, participating in board decisions and initiatives, and representing the broader ACTS membership. She was elected by members of the ACTS organization in 2026.

“I’m honored to have been elected, and excited to be part of setting priorities for the Association for Clinical and Translational Science in the coming years,” said Burner. “The Association is a great way for us to pull together across the country to build collaborations and increase the impact of our science.”
